Hickory Motorspeedway  10-15-05- Davin Scites ran open practice on Saturday. "We practiced for a few hours. I went out to qualify and hadn't been out on stickers so we guessed what the cassis would do and loosed it up but not enough. It was really tight in qualifying, but we knew we would get better as the the race progressed. We knew the car would be better on the long runs." Davin Qualified 17th.

"During the race we had to give up a few position at the beginning, but the longer we went the better the car got. Our times were consistent throughout the race. Where other cars in front of us fell off, we continued to stay the same."


At lap 125, there was a half time bread to change tires. "We were still tight so we loosened up the car and put two more
tires on the right side. With it cooling off, it tightened up more than what our adjustments during the break helped."

"We still had a good race car and passed several cars before getting up to 6th position. It's really hard to pass on that track.   Where my car was tight, I wasn't able to complete the pass. I had to dig and dig to pass. It takes you four laps to pass one car when your have a tight race car, and that just adds to the problem."

"We are happy with the 6th place finish, but we had better car than that. We just need to learn
